I’ve studied and worked in TV/Media for almost 20 years. I love to watch (and write about) what happens when life and media and technology cross paths. Voila—it’s a perfect Technotini!
I’m also a two time breast cancer survivor, so my mission is to help myself and my readers find balance, joy | fun, and strength in the chaos of everyday. I’ve learned the importance of celebrating the everyday – the messy, the sparkly, and everything in between–and I want to help others Celebrate the Cocktail of Life!
I enjoy writing about things affecting my life because if I’m going through it, I’m sure other moms and women are too! My favorite subjects are: cocktails, smoothies, kid-friendly healthy recipes, crafts | DIY, parenting, home management | organization, blogging biz and communications.
Technotini.com began ten years ago as part of my master’s thesis in which I studied the effects of advanced technology on our reception of media messages. I used a lot of big words like remediation and psychotechnology and simulacra of the message. (phew, that was a mouthful!)
Evolving into a family-centric lifestyle blog, Technotini now serves its readers through articles and resources designed to help its readers find balance, laughter, and wisdom as they navigate the busy cocktail of modern parenthood.
My experience with media and brands
My writing has been featured on the HuffPost, Blogher, and The Today Show. I have nearly 20 years experience working in television and media. In fact, some of my work has been nominated for Interactive Advanced Media Technology Emmy Awards.
As a project manager who has worked with some of America’s most beloved brands, I bring that same level of dedication to the brands that I partner with on my blog as well as clients that I consult.
I’m a founding member of the International Blogging Association, a global organization designed to help bloggers grow and succeed. Currently, I serve as the Senior Board Member – Twitter and host the weekly #IBAChat every Wednesday at noon EDT.
I love to review products that fit well with the Technotini brand. If you’re a brand that would like to partner with Technotini, I can be reached at Shana (at) Technotini.com

Breast Cancer Resources
I’m a two-time breast cancer survivor. Going through this journey has given me a greater appreciation of wellness, balance, and celebrating the everyday. I like to take time to smell the roses, and I like to help other busy moms do the same. I’ve put together a collection of some breast cancer resources that I found helpful. You can read more about my journey under the Technotini Pink category. If you or a loved one are going through breast cancer, please feel free to reach out to me. Or if you’re a survivor and would like to reach out, I’d love to hear from you as well.
My family and I are Atlanta transplants and I secretly enjoy palmetto cheese and fried pickles and BBQ but most of the time I try to be pescatarian (vegetarian who eats fish). I’m obsessed with my Vitamix! (my other fave foods are pizza and chocolate, but that’s not a little known fact, that’s an obvious statement—who doesn’t love pizza and chocolate?!!!)
My breast cancer journey taught me the importance of taking time for ourselves, as mothers and women. I created Toasting Tuesdays to helps us just take a few minutes and reflect on the good things going on and taking time for ourselves. I’m trying to foster a community of wellness through laughter, camaraderie and fun. Look for big changes coming soon.
So sit back, relax, and pour yourself a nice cold glass of Technotini.
I’d love to hear from you. I can be reached at Shana (at) Technotini.com
