Tomato Watermelon Salad is probably the It Salad of summer. And why shouldn’t it be? It’s beautiful to look at, it’s light, it’s healthy, and it’s super delicious. This quick and easy 3 ingredient recipe will wow both your kids and your taste buds.
How to Make 3 Ingredient Tomato Watermelon Salad
This summer, I’ve been seeing pictures of tomato watermelon salad everywhere I turn-Instagram, cooking shows, grocery store displays—it’s literally everywhere. And it’s no wonder—you’re basically taking America’s 2 favorite garden items and mixing them together in a wondrous salad! It’s brilliant. So I couldn’t resist creating my own 3 ingredient Tomato Watermelon Salad.
I used heirloom cherry tomatoes. Look how pretty they are—so many different colors. My girls got very excited—they love to eat colorful food.
And the Piece de la resistance…Lightly Dried Basil. Yes. Lightly Dried. Let’s just stop for a moment right here so you can take it in.
Let it register.
Because believe me- you are going to want to use this little gem in a lot of your cooking.
For those of you who have been following me for a while, you might remember my Summer Games Peach Torches. That was my first dish on which I used this game-changing form of basil – and yes—it was a total game changer! Because it’s lightly dried, it blends amazingly well with fruits and wet ingredients (like yogurt). It’s almost as if the lightly dried basil activates with the wet ingredient and creates a culinary explosion of flavor!
